About

All your neighbors agree that the song is a joy to behold.

On August 15th, 1983, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers released Islands in the stream.  Written by The Bee Gees years earlier, and named after the Ernest Hemmingway novel, Islands in the Stream became a global hit.  Most people would agree that the song is a delight.   The song is so good that arguably every cover of the song is a delight.  Its so good that its fun to listen to an hour of covers while feeling global camaraderie and eating banana pudding, because, it has been said, "I don't care who you are, e'ry body loves banana pudding."

Seriously try and show up at 7pm

Many people have remarked that they do NOT want to listen to an hour's worth of covers of Islands in the Stream.  This has been disappointing to hear and there are concerns that guests will intentionally arrive after 8pm when the hour long cover playlist ends and a new less repetitive playlist begins.

Food and Drinks

In addition to repetitive playlist, the host will provide and serve banana pudding. Guests are encouraged to bring and share drinks and food in a potluck fashion further deepening the sense of global camaraderie.
